She watched him closely. He’d changed since they’d traveled East. he was quieter, less bravado, more scheming. Not that they wouldn’t need schemes for this job. It just wasn’t him. She’d already seem him bash a porter upside the head for mishandling their luggage. Now that they were here, that the job was so close, he was so intense, so driven. She wondered what that meant. And if it meant she may have to stop him.
